Data Deletion Requests

This page explains how to request deletion of personal data that Pilo controls, including data received through Meta products such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and connected Meta Pages.

How to request deletion

To start a deletion request, email [email protected] with the subject "Meta Data Deletion Request".

If your request is not related to Meta/Facebook, you can still use the same email address and describe the data you want Pilo to delete, correct, export, or review.

Meta and Facebook data deletion

If you connected Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, or a Meta Page to Pilo, you can ask Pilo to delete data we received from Meta for that connection. You can also remove Pilo from your Facebook account through Facebook's Settings & Privacy, Settings, Apps and Websites controls.

In your request, include the Pilo workspace or organization name if known, the connected Meta asset if known, and the email address you use with Pilo or Meta. Do not send passwords, OAuth tokens, access tokens, API keys, or other secrets.

What Pilo deletes or de-identifies

After we verify the request, Pilo will:

• Revoke the related Meta connection where applicable.
• Remove stored OAuth and Page tokens under Pilo's control.
• Delete or de-identify app-scoped Meta user identifiers and provider mappings.
• Delete or de-identify Meta import state, sync state, and provider asset metadata where no longer needed.
• Delete or de-identify Meta-sourced records that Pilo controls and no longer needs to provide the service.

If a request affects customer records, jobs, invoices, audit trails, or other business records controlled by a Pilo workspace, we may need to coordinate with the workspace owner before deleting business-controlled records.

Verification, retention, and confirmation

We verify deletion requests before acting so that one person cannot delete another person or organization's records without authority. We may retain limited information when needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, billing, dispute handling, auditability, or backup rotation.

We process verified requests as soon as reasonably possible and provide confirmation or status information when the request is complete.
